Risk factors associated with Heart Health
According to Mayo Clinic, "a heart attack occurs when the flow of blood to the heart is severely reduced or blocked." Such blockage can happen due to various reasons like high cholesterol levels, the building up of fats, and other substances in the arteries. As per medical experts, the risk factors for heart attacks include various factors like age, tobacco and alcohol consumption, high blood pressure, high levels of cholesterol/triglycerides, obesity or excessive weight, diabetes, genetic history, unbalanced diet, unhealthy routine, and an excess of stress.
Sex: a major risk factor
During any physical activity which involves high intensity, the rate of breathing rises as the heart needs more oxygen and blood. For a person suffering from heart problems, it is dangerous to have activities like having sex that elevates blood pressure levels and heart rate. If an individual is not going for regular checkups then a sudden elevation of blood pressure and breathing rates may lead to a heart attack.
Symptoms of Cardiac Arrest
