Kartik Purnima 2022: Kartik Purnima is on 8th November do’s and don’ts

Kartik Purnima is also known as Dev Deepawali. According to the scriptures, on this day Lord Vishnu took the Matsya avatar. It is also believed that on this day Lord Shiva killed the demon Tripurasura. In this happiness the gods celebrated Diwali. The full moon of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month is called Kartik Purnima, which is on Tuesday, November 8 this year. Kartik Purnima is also known as Dev Deepawali.

According to the scriptures, Lord Vishnu took the Matsya avatar on this day. It is also believed that on this day Lord Shiva killed the demon Tripurasura. In this happiness the gods celebrated Diwali.

Worshiping with devotion on this day brings blessings of Goddess Lakshmi along with Lord Shri Hari. By doing some remedies on the day of Kartik Purnima, your wishes are fulfilled.

According to mythological beliefs, on this day Lord Vishnu took the Matsya avatar. At the same time, according to other beliefs, on this day Lord Shiva killed the demon Tripurasura. One should take bath in any holy river before sunrise on the day of Kartik Purnima.

Apart from this, on this day, one should donate a lamp near a river or a temple. It is believed that by donating lamps on this day the deities are pleased and shower their blessings. Donating on Kartik Purnima gives virtue.

In the evening, offer Arghya to the moon by adding raw milk, rice and some sugar to the water. By doing this, the blessings of the moon are also obtained. 

On this day, measures can also be taken to get the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. Mother likes this date very much. Mahalakshmi Stuti should be recited to please Goddess Lakshmi on Kartik Purnima. By doing this, you will get the special blessings of Goddess Lakshmi.

Eggs, onions, garlic should not be eaten on the day of Kartik Purnima. One should stay away from the consumption of any kind of tamasic food and intoxicants. Do not abuse or insult any person even after forgetting on this day.

To get the blessings of the moon on the day of Kartik Purnima, one should observe celibacy. On the other hand, if one sleeps on the ground instead of the bed on this night, then it is considered very auspicious.
