Patanjali is often regarded as the father of modern yoga. The yoga logo symbolizes harmony and peace for humanity. The Sanskrit word 'yoga' is derived from the root word 'yuj,' which means "to attach, join, harness, or yoke."
Yoga has six primary aims: growth, learning, maintenance, therapy, spirituality, and power. Practicing yoga regularly brings various benefits, such as improving sleep quality, boosting energy levels, enhancing mood, reducing stress, aiding in weight management, fostering a sense of community, promoting self-care, and aiding digestion, depending on the type of yoga practiced.
International Yoga Day serves as a global platform to highlight the significance of yoga and its positive impact on overall well-being.
