Usually till now people were not sure whether to admit or not that they have found their significant other on a dating app. But now things are changing during the pandemic. While following the protocol of social distancing people went online to find their partners virtually. The findings of a recent Bumble study have concluded that people have been making more connections online, and that meeting someone through a dating app is now becoming more normalized than ever before.

As per the women-first dating app, "50 per cent of the single Indians surveyed claim people are no longer ashamed to say that they met on a dating app. People are now more open to talk about being met their partners online. In fact, 45 per cent of single Indians believed virtual or online dating is the normal way of dating in India."

As reported by The Indian Express, the nationwide study also concludes that "85 per cent of surveyed people claimed that there is a change in attitude towards dating because of the pandemic. Interestingly, 44 per cent feel people who would previously be against online dating, tried it as it became the only way to meet someone post the second wave and during lockdown 2021."
