Having undereye dark circles makes our face look aged, unhealthy, and fatigued. It is the first symptom that portrays our deteriorating lifestyle. The primary cause behind the concern of dark circles is unhealthy eating and long working hours in front of mobiles and laptops.

The other causes that trigger dark circles are appointments at odd hours, rising stress levels, lack of sleep, a polluted environment, and the habit of ignoring health. Our health is affected by all these things and undereye dark circles are the first to appear.

However, by changing your lifestyle and using DIY home remedies, one can easily get rid of dark circles. Here are some of the DIY remedies to treat undereye dark circles at home. 

Cucumber and Potatoes 

These two vegetables are easy to find in the grocery shop and they are super affordable too. These vegetables are rich in vitamins and antioxidants which make them suitable to treat dark circles. These vegetables also assist in the reduction of inflammation around the eyes. 

Put the grated shreds of either cucumber or potato on your eyes for around 10-12 minutes and then wash off with cold water. Ensure to cover the entire eye area that is covered by the dark circle.

Lime Juice and Almond Oil 

Mix a few drops of lemon juice with a teaspoon of almond oil and gently apply it around the eyes. Massage and leave for 2 to 3 minutes. Wash off with cold water. 

Mint Leaves 

Make a thick paste of mint leaves and leave it under the eyes for 10 minutes at night. As a result, the skin gradually becomes soft and radiant.

Aloe Vera 

An effective moisturizer that also nourishes the skin and prevents premature aging. Every night before going to bed, apply aloe vera gel under the eyes and massage gently for 5-7 minutes. 

Rosewater 

This can be called grandma's secret medicine. Rose water has a refreshing and rejuvenating effect that suits almost all skin types and all skin problems. Take some rose water and soak a cotton swab in it. Place it on the eyelids and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes. Repeat this process every night for a month to see the best results.
