Every morning when you wake up, all you need to do is make a simple beverage at home and chug it down. But you will need to have these metabolism-boosting drinks, on an empty stomach every morning and in weeks or months, you will see the results.

1. Jeera Water

Ever thought that a humble spice like Jeera that goes in almost every Indian dish and is available in every Indian household could be your go-to remedy to lose weight? Well, Jeera water is a low-calorie drink that not only helps with indigestion but also helps in melting belly fat. It suppresses hunger and speeds up weight loss.

Preparation: Add a teaspoon of Jeera to a glass of water and leave it overnight. In the morning, strain it and have it on an empty stomach. 

2. Saunf Water

Saunf has always been considered a traditional method to deal with indigestion. Saunf (Fennel) seeds help in detoxifying the body and that in turn aids weight loss. 

Preparation: Add a teaspoon of fennel seeds to lukewarm water and leave overnight. In the morning, strain it and it's ready to drink. 

3. Ajwain Water

Carom seeds always help in boosting metabolism and digestion. They also lead to better absorption of nutrients. 

Preparation: Soak two teaspoons of roasted ajwain seeds in a glass of water overnight. Straining it is optional, you can also just mix it and drink. 

4. Lemon Water

Nimbu Paani makes for a refreshing drink on a hot summer day, but when it is had cold with sugar, it won’t help. If you want to lose weight have lemon water lukewarm, sans sugar. It has antioxidants and pectin fiber that help in melting belly fat. Having this on an empty stomach will boost your metabolism and help you lose weight.

Preparation: Take a glass of warm water, squeeze half a lime in it, and mix well. You can also add some honey if you want or it can even be had plain. 

5. Green Tea

Green tea is always the go-to remedy for detox and while most of us stick to it, it surely helps in many ways. But majorly the antioxidants in it boost metabolism. One tip to always keep in mind is to never add sugar to green tea, rather you can add some lemon for better taste. 

Prearation: If you are using homegrown tea leaves, just add them to water and bring to a boil. And if its the instant dip bag, add to water for some time and then remove the bag. 

Replace this with you regular cup of tea and see how it works wonders.
