Zomato CEO, Deepinder Goyal turns delivery boy on New Year’s Eve, shares his experience

New Year’s Eve is one of the most celebrated days of the year and people enjoy this day with lots of fun and yummy delicacies. During this time the food delivery apps are most busy such as Zomato. On this day Zomato CEO became a delivery agent and delivered food to his customers. He also changed his twitter bio to ‘delivery boy’ for Zomato and Blinkit.

On December 31st, he tweeted “going to deliver a couple of orders on my own right now. Should be back in an hour or so,” later he also shared a photo of his delivery boy look while donning a red jacket, his first order was in his company’s office after which he tweeted “my first delivery brought me back to the Zomato office. Lolwut!”

Goyal went on to share his experience of delivering 4 orders one of them was an elderly couple who were celebrating the day with their grandchildren. “Back in office. Delivered 4 orders; one of them to an elderly couple celebrating NYE with their grandchildren,” he said.

In another tweet he informed that the orders delivered by Zomato have added up to be more than the total of all orders delivered in 3 years of their existence. “Fun fact: orders delivered today>>sum of all orders delivered in the first 3 years of our food delivery service,” he said. After finishing his day he tweeted, “what a day it has been- finally calling it a night! Happy New Year, everyone. A big thanks to our customers, restaurant partners, delivery partners and the team for making 2022 wholesome.”

Nowadays we see many CEO’s disguising themselves and reaching out to their customers which help them understand the working of the company closely. After this incident many viewers have commented his work and some criticized him but according to Goyal’s words he had a wonderful experience.
