Weather Update: Rainfall Forecasted For These States, Heatwave To Prevail in Delhi
The IMD has predicted rainfall in some states. However, heatwave conditions will prevail in some states for the next two days.
On Wednesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) posted the recent weather forecast. As per the prediction, there is a possibility of an intense spell of rainfall in Northeast India and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim for the next few days.
The Met department shared that widespread rainfall is likely to fall over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, and Manipur for the most next 4-5 days.

Weather Forecast by the IMD
On the other hand, heatwave conditions are likely to prevail over the isolated areas of the Northwest, Central, and adjoining East India region for the next two days.
While sharing the recent weather forecast via Twitter, the IMD wrote, "Heat wave conditions in isolated places very likely over Jammu Division, Himachal Pradesh, West Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh on 08th; Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana-Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Telangana & East Madhya Pradesh on 08th & 09th."

Heatwave Conditions in Delhi, Yellow Alert for Thursday
On Wednesday, Delhi's base station, Safdarjung Observatory recorded the maximum temperature at 44 degrees Celsius. The IMD issued a 'Yellow' alert for warning about the heatwave conditions to prevail in the national capital on Thursday, June 09.
As reported by the news agency PTI, Mahesh Palawat, vice-president (climate change and meteorology), Skymet Weather, said that the monsoon is likely to come to Delhi on or around June 27. A clear picture will emerge in a week or so.
