The Meteorological Department has predicted a change in the weather in many parts of the country from tomorrow. The winter season is slowly passing. At the same time, with the end of the cold, the heat has started to create trouble for the people during the day time.

The Meteorological Department has predicted a change in the weather in the northeastern states. There is a possibility of snowfall with rain in Muzaffarabad and northern parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Along with this, light rain may occur at some places of Punjab, West Rajasthan, Haryana. Strong winds are also likely in some areas.

Light rain is also likely to occur at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Western Himalayas, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep. According to Skymet weather, during the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain occurred over Andaman and Nicobar Islands with heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places.

As per Skymet Weather, "Negative sea surface temperature anomalies in the equatorial Pacific Ocean are weakening. This warming inclination of the Pacific Ocean, albeit within neutral limits, may not lead to an above-normal or excess rainfall but chances of a ‘corrupt’ monsoon are also ruled out."

Air Quality of Delhi improves to Moderate

The air quality in the national capital has improved significantly to moderate category, as per the SAFAR India Air Quality Service. The relative humidity in the city at 8.30 am was 83 per cent. The air quality in the capital has improved with the Air Quality Index recorded 149 in the moderate category.

“AQI today indicates moderate air quality. Relatively high wind speed today kept AQI moderate,” SAFAR noted.

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe. However, the AQI is likely to degrade slightly due to low wind speed and weak dispersion, said SAFAR.
