Weather Update: Delhi to Witness Thunderstorms For the Next Two Days
As per the IMD, there is a possibility of rainfall activity to increase in Gujarat, Goa, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha from Saturday.

On Thursday, the national capital witnessed light rainfall along with partly cloudy weather. It drizzled over the parts of Delhi including the isolated areas in Lutyens Delhi near India Gate and east Delhi. As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), it is likely to rain over the areas of Delhi NCR for the next two days.
In the weather forecast for the day, the IMD said, "there will be generally cloudy sky with possibility of moderate rain and thundershowers. The maximum temperature of the day is likely to hover around 33 degrees Celsius."

Weather forecast for the national capital
The Safdarjung observatory, the base station in the national capital recorded the minimum temperature at 26.8 degrees Celsius. At 8:30 am in Delhi, the relative humidity was recorded at 83 percent.
However, the IMD has issued a red alert for heavy rainfall in the 8 districts of Kerala including Alapuzzha, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Thrissur, Idukki, Kannur, and Palakkad. For the other districts except for Thiruvananthpuram, an orange alert has been issued and for Thiruvananthpuram, a yellow alert is placed.

Weather forecast for other states
As per the IMD, there is a possibility of rainfall activity to increase in Gujarat, Goa, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha from Saturday.
The IMD said, "Intense rainfall activity likely to continue over South Peninsula (Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka) during next 3 days and reduce thereafter." Further, it stated, "Rainfall activity likely to enhance over Gujarat, East Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Goa, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha from 06th August 2022."
