Weather Update: Cold Wave continues in Delhi, Min. temp. reaches 8.7 degrees Celsius
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is no sign of relief from the cold in the coming days.

On Monday, Delhi has recorded a minimum temperature of 8.7 degrees Celsius, which is two notches above the season's average. As per the weather forecast by Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), cold wave conditions are expected to prevail in the national capital at isolated places.
The relative humidity recorded at 8.30 am stood at 87 per cent. The maximum temperature is likely to reach around 16 degrees Celsius. Partly clouds skies are predicted for the day. In the morning, there was shallow to moderate fog.
According to the Indian Meteorological Center (IMD), there may be chills in Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh and western Uttar Pradesh for the next two days. Dense fog will remain in some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Odisha and Bihar.
At 8:05 am, Delhi's air quality index (AQI) was recorded in the very poor category at 313. The AQI of neighboring areas of Faridabad at 317, Ghaziabad at 341 and Noida at 302 was also recorded in the very poor category. Meanwhile, the AQI of Greater Noida stood at 289 and Gurugram at 222 was recorded in the poor category.
An AQI between zero and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe.
