A shameful and displeasing incident took place in the capital of Bihar as a porn clip was played on the display screens at Patna’s railway station.
The video was telecasted on the LED screens of platform number 10 at around 9:30 am instead of ads. The incident continued for around 3 minutes this Sunday. While many people captured videos and posted them on social media criticising the railway administration, many others present in the station protested and lodged a complaint to the associate officials. The Railway Protection Force finally stopped the footage.
Users tagged Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as well as the Railways Ministry in the video that went viral in social media. An FIR has been filed against Dutta Communication which is now blacklisted. The contract with Dutta communication was terminated along with imposed fine. This agency controls the running of ads and information on the screens. The railway police are investigating the matter .RPF is also searching the station operator who had fled soon after the event.
A Moneycontrol report quoted Prabhat Kumar, the official spokesperson of the DRM office in Danapur, in a statement that said, "We have initiated an inquiry into the incident and started the process of cancellation of contract. We have registered an FIR against the company officials. It is an intolerable incident. We will blacklist this company".
This video and the incident is facing continues social criticism. However whether this happening was the result of negligence and mistake or it was an intentional action by any workers in the railway is still a mystery. On-going investigation wou;d hopefully bring the reason into light.
