A sigh of relief for the candidates aspiring to be Government Teachers. The 7-year validity of the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for candidates to become government teachers has been abolished. Ministry of Education has announced to extend the validity for lifetime. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Education, it has been said that from the year 2011, the lifetime validity of TET (Teachers Eligibility Test) will be applicable.

Earlier, the validity of Teachers Eligibility Test Certificate (TET Certificate Validity) was only for 7 years. That is, if a candidate passed TET in the year 2011, then his certificate would have been valid till 2018 only. During that time he could apply for the job of a government teacher. But now this compulsion has been removed. Your TET certificate will now be valid for life. However, this rule will not be applicable for candidates who have passed TET before the year 2011.
