In Delhi, vaccination process for the age group 18 – 44 is going to stop from today. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal appealed to the centre to provide the vaccines.

Vaccination process has been going on Delhi for the people of age group 18 – 44 years. Today is the day when it’s going to stop because of shortage of the vaccines. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has informed through a press conference that the vaccination of youth in Delhi will be stopped by this evening as the vaccine near Delhi has expired. At the same time, CM Arvind Kejriwal has once again appealed to the Central Government to provide the vaccine. He said that the vaccine is the biggest weapon against Corona. The Central Government is being appealed to provide vaccine to Delhi, so that vaccination can be started again. Also, the vaccine quota should also be increased in Delhi.

Chief Minister Kejriwal said, “80 lakh vaccine doses are required every month in Delhi. In comparison, we received only 16 lakh vaccines in May and the Center has further reduced Delhi's quota for June. We will be given only 8 lakh vaccines in June.”

Chief Minister also told that Delhi is recording a downfall in the rising corona cases so far. In last 24 hours the positivity rate has been reduced by 3.5%. Delhi has recorded 3,009 fresh Covid -19 cases and 252 deaths in the past 24 hours.
