Surprisingly out of all the promoted students, none of the students scored a full 100% or 600/600 this year. Earlier, 9 lakh students appeared for the exam last year out of which 92.3% cleared it. However, the highest pass percentage was observed in 2017 when 94.4 per cent of students had passed.
According to the reports of News 18, Link to check results is available at the official websites, dge.tn.gov.in, tnresults.nic.in. Detailed marks memos will be available from July 22. Students can also collect their mark sheets from their respective schools once the situation is better. For students who would not be happy with their score or those who have not cleared exams, will have a chance to appear for the exams in September or October.
Candidates need to have at least 35 marks in each subject as well as overall to be considered pass in the board exams. They need to get 35 % passing marks in theory and practical sections separately, as per rules. Most boards have given 100% pass percentage this year, however, Tamil Nadu has not announced it yet. Tamil Nadu has declared its results without holding any exams at all. Due to the pandemic, the exams were cancelled. Students will be able to get their scores based on an alternative mode of assessment. As per the policy, the result will be based on class 10 final score (50%), class 11 final score (30%), class 12 internals, and practicals (20%).
