In view of the danger of increasing air pollution and decreasing AQI in Delhi, teh government has been decided to shut down all the schools for a week from today. At the same time, it was decided in an emergency meeting that due to pollution, schools in the capital will remain closed for a week from Monday i.e. from today. This was one of the four major decisions taken in the meeting. Other major decisions include ban on construction activities from November 14 to 17 and closure of Delhi government offices for a week.

Along with this, a proposal for lockdown to curb pollution will also be presented before the Supreme Court. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that pollution is increasing in Delhi for the last few days. This spike has come due to incidents of stubble burning in neighboring states. He also said that there is no point in blaming the farmers as they were forced to do so.
