New Delhi: Schools, colleges, universities, coaching institutes will open in Delhi for classes 9th to 12th from September 1. DDMA issues SOP to open schools and colleges. Children will be able to take classes at a time up to a maximum of 50 percent of the seating capacity of the classroom. There will be a different time formula for social distancing in each class. In the morning and evening shift schools, there will be a gap of at least one hour between the two shifts.
Children have been asked not to share their food, books, and other stationery items with each other. It has been advised to keep the lunch break in an open area at this different time so that too much crowd does not gather at a time. The seating arrangements should be done in such a way that there is a seating arrangement except for one seat. Parental approval is required for children to attend school. If a parent does not want to send his child to school, he will not be compelled to do so.
Teacher staff or students living in the Containment Zone will not be allowed to come to school. It is mandatory to create a quarantine room in the school premises, where any child or staff can be kept if needed. It should be ensured that the common area of the school is being cleaned regularly. There is soap and water in the toilets. Also, there is the availability of thermal scanners, sanitizers, and masks, etc. in the school premises. A thermal scanner will be mandatory at the entry gate. Masks will be necessary for children as well as staff. Apart from this, the hands of the children will be sanitized at the entry gate itself.
The Head of School has been asked to organize a meeting with the SMC members, covid protocol plan and thermal scanner, soap and sanitizer, etc. School heads have also been asked to ensure that all teachers and staff coming to the school are vaccinated, if they are not, then it will have to be given priority.In schools where the work of vaccination and distribution of ration is going on, that part will be kept separate from the place of academic activity in the school. For this, separate entry-exit points will be created and civil defense staff will be deployed.
