Sultan Ansari's Samajwadi Party connection has come into light recently. He is one of the two partners who signed an agreement for 12,080 square meters of land with Ayodhya Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Tej Narayan Pandey alias Pawan, former minister of state of SP, held a press conference on June 13 and accused the Ram Mandir Trust of scam in the land agreement. Two pictures of Sultan Ansari are going viral. In one photo he is seen with SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and in another picture with Tej Narayan Pandey alias Pawan.

Sultan Ansari's words

Sultan Ansari said, "for the first time in the year 2011, the agreement was done and our father and Harish Kumar Pathak were in that agreement, but when the bond was done in 2021, we also included Tiwari ji in it. The second agreement was signed in 2014. On March 4, 2014, Champat Rai ji and two or four members contacted us through the trust to get the land and then we had a deal with them. Our rate was fixed at Rs 18 and a half crore and that is where we made the agreement. So far ₹ 17,00,00,000 has been given." "When Baimana is done, he will also give the remaining 1.5 crore. So much has been decided in the rate of land, it has not happened in 2 minutes or 10 minutes and the allegations being made are false", he added.

General Secretary of Shri Ram Teerth Kshetra Trust Champat Rai, general secretary of Shri Ram Janma Teerth Kshetra Trust, issued a statement in which he said, "the facts were not taken from any official of the pilgrimage area before making the allegation by the persons who made the statement in the language of the allegation. This has created confusion in the society. All Shri Ram devotees are requested not to believe in any such propaganda, so that the ongoing construction work of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple with complete transparency can be completed soon."

Sanjay Singh as opposition

Aam Aadmi Party's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh hold a press conference and raised the issue. He accused the Ram Mandir Trust of buying land worth Rs 2 crore for Rs 18.5 crore. Sanjay Singh said that "the trust bought land worth Rs 2 crore after 10 minutes by paying Rs 16.5 crore more. There is a scam in this."

Chief Minister of Rajasthan

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted "the public had contributed the most in the construction of Ram temple with faith, but the news of embezzlement of donations at the very beginning of the construction work has shaken the faith of the common man. No one is able to believe how the cost of land went from Rs 2 crore to Rs 18 crore in minutes. Pink stone was being sent for Ram temple after illegal mining from Banshi Paharpur in the state. We tried that the illegally extracted stone should not be used in this holy work, so we tried to get the work of stone mining going on here legally from the Government of India, which we are satisfied with."
