PM Modi to visit Washington DC in June, Biden to host a state dinner

Prime Minister Narendra  Modi will do an official visit to the United States on June 22. During this visit, PM Modi will be hosted by Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden at a state dinner at the White House.

The Ministry of External Affairs stated that the visit will highlight the growing importance of the strategic partnership between the two nations. The two leaders can discuss over several topics including technology, trade, industry, research, clean energy, education, defense security, healthcare etc. they would also be reflecting on their shared interest for a free, open, and inclusive Indo-Pacific and discuss oppurtunities to expand to expand and consolidate the Quad engagement. PM Modi last visited the US on September 23, 2021.

A statement has been released by the White House that states, “President Joe Biden and First Lady will host Prime Minister Narendra Modi of the Republic of India for an official visit to the United States, which will include a state dinner, on June 22, 2023. The visit will strengthen the two countries’ shared commitment to a free, open, prosperous, and secure Indo-Pacific and our shared resolve to elevate our strategic technology partnership, including in defence, clean energy, and space.”
