On 8 March 2019, PM Narendra had laid the foundation stone of Kashi Vishwanath Dham Project. Which is now ready after 21 months. Now, there will be no need for devotees to pass through narrow streets. The biggest problem while building this Dham was regarding land acquisition. Because here families settled for many generations around the temple and more than 700 small and big shopkeepers were present. By geo-tagging the property of all these people, complete details of their property were collected. After this, 315 building owners settled in 55 square meters, selected for Vishwanath Dham, were contacted and arrangements were made for their displacement and rehabilitation. A cost of about Rs 600 crore is involved in this process.
