The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal has announced the extension of the already imposed lockdown till 5 am on June 14. 

Earlier, the lockdown has been extended in Delhi by the State Government till 5 am on June 7.

New Guidelines

Markets, malls are being opened on odd-even basis from 10 am to 8 pm. Private offices can be opened with 50 percent capacity. 

Shops of essential goods will open daily. Delhi Metro is being started with 50 percent capacity. In government offices, 

Group-A officers will work 100 percent and the rest 50 percent of the officers below it. 100% employees will work in essential services. 

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, 'There have been about 400 cases in Delhi in the last 24 hours and the positivity rate has come down to about 0.5 percent.'

The Chief Minister said, 'After talking to experts, it has been decided that preparations will be started considering the peak of 37,000 cases of the next wave. 

A storage capacity of 420 tonnes of oxygen is being prepared. 25 oxygen tankers are being procured and 64 oxygen plants are being set up.

On the preparedness to deal with the possible third wave of Covid-19, CM Kejriwal said, "We have formed a pediatric task force to prepare a safety plan for the children.'

We are making arrangements to store 420 tonnes of oxygen, setting up 64 oxygen plants to deal with the possibility of shortage of oxygen. We are preparing to deal with the third wave of Covid keeping in mind that there could be 37,000 cases when it reaches its peak."
