Orange Alert In Mumbai, Delhi To Witness Light Rainfall
Maharashtra is receiving continuous heavy rainfall since Monday. IMD issues 'Orange alert' for the next 5 days. Delhi is likely to receive light rainfall by weekend.

There is no relief for the financial capital of the nation, Mumbai from continuous heavy rainfalls. Various areas of the city have got flooded due to excessive rains. The city's traffic movement is also affected as roads are getting waterlogged.
On Wednesday, July 06, the India Meteorological Department issued an orange alert for heavy rainfall in the upcoming 4-5 days. The alert has been issued for Thane, Mumbai, and other areas of Maharashtra till July 10. Some areas are under red alert till July 09, including Ratnagiri, Raigarh, and Sindhudurg, and Palghar is under red alert till July 08.

Possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Mumbai
In the forecast, the IMD said, "Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with extremely heavy rain at isolated places is very likely to occur in Palghar on Friday."
Various rivers in the state have reached warning levels. The water level of Savitri, Amba, Ulhas, Garhi, and Patalganga is slightly below the warning level. However, the water level of the Kundalika river has crossed the warning level.
Monitoring the situation in the city, Maharashtra's Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had put a high alert on all the districts. Officials are directed to make proper arrangements including the shifting of residents staying in vulnerable regions.

Delhi expects light to moderate rainfall
While sharing the weather prediction via Twitter, the IMD wrote, "Isolated heavy rainfall over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh-Delhi during 07th-09th; West U.P on 09th; East Rajasthan on 06th; West Rajasthan on 05th & 07th July. Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over West Rajasthan on 08th & 09th; East Rajasthan on 05th & during 07th-09th July."
On Thursday, Delhi's primary weather station, the Safdarjung Observatory recorded the minimum temperature at 30 degrees Celsius. As per the weather agency, it is expected that the maximum temperature is likely to settle at 37 degrees Celsius. However, the light rainfall on Saturday is likely to bring down the maximum temperature to 33 degrees Celsius.
As per the weather forecast by the IMD, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall from July 7 to 9 in the national capital. For the next six days, the Met department has issued a yellow alert for the city as there is a possibility of rain and thunderstorms to occur.
