Nithin Kamath, co-founder and CEO of the biggest stock broking company in India, is one of the youngest self-made billionaires in India. Kamath started Zerodha as a brokering business in 2010 which has successfully transformed into a mega fintech business self-valued at a whopping 1 billion dollars!

Nithin was born in Shivamogga, Karnataka, India to a Konkani family. His father, U.R. Kamath was employed as one of the executives with Canara Bank. His mother, Revathi taught to play the musical instrument, veena.

He also has a younger brother, Nikhil Kamath, who is the Co-founder at Zerodha. Nithin Kamath wife is Seema Patil, they both got married in 2008. He loves to play basketball. The couple was also blessed with a son named Kiaan.

The company's gross profit in 2022 was a massive Rs 2,094 crore. Revenue for the firm climbed to Rs 4964 crore. 'Zerodha' is a unicorn company in India. It is a unicorn, but with a twist: the firm is entirely self-funded and highly lucrative.

Despite the fact that the whole corporate world seeks employees with IIT or IIM credentials, Kamath has not employed a single person from these institutes. In a recent podcast, he stated that he found it difficult to accommodate such people inside Zerodha. He said that employees in these institutions strive to advance themselves and their careers rather than the organisation.
