NBA demands postponement of Republic TV ratings until court orders

A statement by the NBA said that there has been a long discussion between WhatsApp, former CEO of BARC India, Partho Dasgupta and Managing Director Arnab Goswami, on the WhatsApp. There was a long discussion about manipulating ratings for maximum viewership for TV and both have been complicit in the scam.

The NBA has demanded that Republic TV's IBF membership should be suspended with immediate effect until a case related to rating manipulation is pending in court. "The NBA board is also of the view that rating manipulation by Republic TV has greatly damaged the reputation of the broadcasting industry and should therefore be excluded from the BARC rating system until a final court order," the NBA says.

The NBA has said that the oversight committee, represented only by broadcasters and consultants without pay by the BARC, is an eyewitness to show autonomy. NBA Board Demand 

1. During the audit, it gives clear information about the veracity of the rating and also audits the Hindi news genre.

 2. Uncovering the statistics of the broadcaster filled with mistakes and re-establish the actual position of the rankings of all the news channels.

3. Information about the steps taken by BARC for the last three months to protect the ratings. 

4. To bring transparency in the process and a system should be created. 

5. What is the procedure in the BARC Constitution against those who manipulate ratings. The NBA's statement said that the NBA's board wants to keep a  record that the corrupt data released every few months has not only damaged reputation, but has also caused immense economic losses to news broadcasters.
