Kumbh Corona Testing Scam: Testing company found to be fake
The company to whom the contract was given is found to be fake.
It has come to the notice that the company named Max Corporate, to which the Kumbh Mela Health Department has given the contract for one lakh corona testing, is running only on paper. After the contract was given to the fake company, the functioning of the fair administration has come under question.
The Health Ministry said, "if needed, criminal action will be taken against the criminals". The Center said, "the state government has investigated the matter at the micro level and strict action will be taken against those found guilty in this mess". During the Haridwar Kumbh Mela, there has been talk of disturbances in the corona investigation of the devotees coming to Haridwar. In the case of fake testing in Kumbh, Joint Secretary of Health Ministry Luv Aggarwal said that "when the message of testing came to a man in Punjab, he told ICMR. ICMR itself gave this information to the state government. The state government took immediate action. The state government itself started a preliminary inquiry by going into its specifics". The state government has asked Haridwar DM to submit a report.
During the Kumbh Mela 2021, the corona investigation done by a private lab of the devotees visiting Haridwar is now under question. An attempt has been made to defraud the Kumbh Mela administration by fraudulently checking the devotees by private labs. The same phone number has been put in the test report of many devotees by this private lab. The same Aadhar card has been used in many investigation reports. At the same time, the case of investigation of hundreds of people from the same house has come to the fore, which seems impossible. At the same time, a private lab from Haridwar sent a test report of Corona to a young man from Punjab, while the youth did not even reach Haridwar to attend the Kumbh Mela. The matter was complained to the ICMR by the said youth, after which the ICMR issued instructions for investigation.
About 2 lakh 51 thousand corona infections have been investigated in Kumbh. During the Kumbh Mela, about 24 lab tests were done. In this 10 private labs were empaneled by Kumbh Mela Health Department and 14 labs were empaneled by CMO Haridwar. Right now the payment for the test has not been made to the private lab and the officials say that after the completion of the investigation, the matter will be done as per rules.
