Kedarnath Temple Closed for Visitors till Winter Season

Out of the 4 dhams, the doors of Kedarnath Temple, Baba Kedar's Dham, have been closed for the winter season on the occasion of Bhaiya Dooj at 8 am on November 6 with full chanting and rituals. During the event, a large number of devotees were present in the temple premises. 

On the holy festival of Bhaiya Dooj, special worship had started in the temple from 4 am. The chief priest performed the aarti after adorning Baba Kedar, as well as the self-styled linga was covered with flowers and ashes by giving the form of samadhi. The Lord was placed in a floating Vigraha festival doli and kept in the temple premises for some time for the devotees to see. After which the doors of Kedarnath Dham were closed till winter under religious traditions.
