Immunization of adults to be completed before 2022: Government
Government has claimed in the Supreme Court that all the adults would be vaccinated by the end of 2021.
As per the data, till now 5% people have been vaccinated with both doses of the vaccination. The Central Government have claimed to complete the vaccination process of the entire population of 18 above in India by the end of 2021.
The Central Government have been asked by the Supreme Court regarding the issuance of global tenders and purchase of Anti-Covid vaccines by the state government. The Supreme Court asked the centre "Is this the policy of government?" In answer Centre said "The entire population of eligible people will be vaccinated by the end of 2021. They are in contact with Pfizer company for the vaccination doses."
Supreme Court asked the Centre regarding the Digital registration by the people for the vaccination on the Cowin app. It said "Rural people will be facing problem in the registration." To which Centre answered that "The Centre will see what is happening in the country and the policy would be changed accordingly."
