The servers of ICICI Bank's Net Banking and Mobile App Services became unresponsive on Thursday afternoon.

On Friday, the net banking and mobile app services of India's second largest private bank ICICI bank has stopped responding. It is since Thursday afternoon, March 25 that many customers of ICICI Bank have complained about the bank’s servers being unresponsive.  

Many customers took to social media to complain about the problems they faced while accessing the ICICI Bank mobile app and the website of the bank's online share trading platform ICICI Direct was also not accessible.

As the users flooded Twitter with posts seeking grievances, ICICI Direct said in a tweet, “Dear Customer, http://ICICIdirect.com is down at the moment. We are working to get things back to normal as quick as possible and will update you here. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused."

A customer tweeted, “@ICICI_Direct I trade Intraday only by margin against shares. Your server is stuck since 1 pm and couldn’t exit my positions. Now, at least don’t charge me for the interest on margin for this overnight position." 

Glitch faced for the second time 

As per DownDetector, a website to monitor servers, 44 percent of the complaints are related to online login. Similarly, 33 percent people are complaining about problems in online banking and 23 percent people in mobile banking. 

In the last six months, it is for the second time that the servers of ICICI Bank's internet banking and mobile app services have faced a technical glitch. The similar kind of glitches were complained by the customers on September 28 last year.
