The rising temperatures in Northern India are making it difficult for the common man to survive in stifling temperatures. With maximum temperature crossing 40 degrees Celsius many states are dealing with heatwave conditions. States like Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, and Rajasthan are sweltering in summer with deteriorating air quality. 

Prediction by IMD 

As per the weather forecast by the Met department, Delhi NCR is likely to witness a dust storm today amid the prevailing heatwave conditions. In the upcoming days, there are fewer chances for the heatwave conditions to give relief. 

As per the prediction, the minimum and maximum temperatures in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Bhopal, and Madhya Pradesh will hover around 26 degrees Celsius and 42 degrees Celsius respectively.

Till May 3, parts of Rajasthan and central India will keep stifling under heatwave conditions. As per India Meteorological Department (IMD), in isolated places over Vidarbha the conditions will prevail till May 3, and over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and west Rajasthan, these heatwave conditions will prevail till May 2. 

Stay hydrated 

To stay protected from scorching heat people are advised to stay hydrated and moisturized all the time. Use of sunscreen is also advised along with carrying an umbrella while going outside in the direct sun exposure. 

Include Fruits and Vegetables 

Consumption of fruits and vegetables which are high in water content is highly recommended. The inclusion of such fruits and vegetables in the diet will ensure keeping the body hydrated and prevent the risk of heatstroke. Opting for a healthier diet by including green vegetables and seasonal fruits will keep your body full of nutrients. 

Keep Caffeine at bay 

Avoidance of caffeine as much as you can also ensure to maintain proper hydration in your body as caffeinated beverages dehydrate the body.
