Gujarat in the footsteps of the Yogi Government, decides to rename the Dragon Fruit
Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani said that the government has now decided to change the name of Dragon Fruit to Kamalam.

The Gujarat government seems to be moving somewhere on
the road to Uttar Pradesh. You may be wondering why and for what reason we are
saying this, then give it to us that the way the Yogi government changes the
names of many stations and places, they keep new names. Similarly, now the
Gujarat government has changed the name of a fruit rather than a place. That
is, Dragon Fruit has now been renamed Kamalam. By the way do you know that the
symbol of BJP has also been seen on Kamalam i.e. Dragon Fruit. How do we tell
you that?
In fact, on Tuesday, Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani said that
the government has now decided to change the name of Dragon Fruit to Kamalam.
By the way, the outer shape of the fruit is exactly like a lotus. Hence this
fruit will be renamed Kamalam. The name of the state BJP headquarters in the
capital of Gujarat, Gandhinagar is currently known as Kamalam. Now you must
have understood why we were linking Kamalam with Kamal. But CM Vijay Rupani
made it clear that there is no politics of any kind in it.
Actually, during the interaction with the media on the
occasion of the inauguration of the Chief Minister's Horticulture Development,
CM Rupani said that we have even applied for the patent of Dragon Fruit to be
called Kamalam. But till the time the Gujarat government has decided that we
will call this fruit as Kamalam. There is no politics of any kind in this name,
while talking about this, the CM said - Even though this fruit is known as
Dragon Fruit at this time.
Kamalam is Sanskrit for lotus
flower that is the shape seen in the fruit. For this reason, we have decided to
call it Kamalam and there is no politics of any kind in it.
