Shah and Aditya Madiraju whose traditional Indian wedding in 2019 at New Jersey,
US went viral are set to become parents for the first time. The couple’s
adorable paternal photos were shared by People’s magazine on Instagram, shot
with photographer Dennis Tejero.
The
couple discuss their journey of becoming parents, their journey began in 2020
when they started learning the nuances of having biological children. They
started learning the differences between surrogates, egg donors and gestational
carriers, they also found out that the process of IVF costs more for them than
heterosexual couples and there are very few insurance companies who support the
LGBTQ couples in their fertility journey.
The
couple wanted a donor who had a creative personality and thinks out of the box
therefore after finding the donor it took them 4 round of IVF for them to get
the good news. According to them they are trying to normalize same sex couples
to have children as Aditya says,” we won’t be gay parents, we’ll just be
parents”.
The
couple is excited about their upcoming journey. They want to celebrate mother’s
day, father’s day and all holidays. They also talked of other gay couples who
came up to them and shared their experiences and this new journey will be an
inspiration for all. The couple has a happy married life and now are gearing up
to become parents.
