The liver is responsible for producing bile, a digestive juice that is made up of bilirubin, water, cholesterol and electrolytes. Bile helps to digest vitamins, cholesterol and fats, it has an important task of neutralizing stomach acid as it is alkaline in nature.

Bile is a yellowish substance that helps in absorbing vitamin K but for the liver to function properly it need to be healthy therefore the foods responsible for it are different types of vegetables with some form of fat. Some people are afraid of consuming food that contains fat but its important to eat healthy fats that can be found in avocados and olive oil, omega 3s in eggs and chia seeds are also good for health.

Liver is responsible to maintain the body’s immune system as the liver secrets some immunity regulatory mediators that protect the liver and other organs from various viruses and other foreign bodies.
