Delhi-NCR Weather: IMD predicts Strong Winds, Minimum temp at 20 degrees Celsius
On Wednesday, the maximum temperature in the national capital is expected to reach 35 degrees Celsius.

On Wednesday, the people of national capital wakes up to a warm sunny morning. The city has recorded the month’s highest minimum temperature at 20.5 degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted strong winds during the day and the coming days will get warmer.
"There will be mainly clear sky. The city will witness strong surface winds with a speed oscillating between 25-35 kmph", said the IMD official.
The Maximum temperature to reach 35 degrees celsius
The maximum temperature of the day will reach around 35 degrees Celsius, said the weather department. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 34 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature was 19 degree Celsius. On Monday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 33 degree Celsius i.e. the temperature increased by 1 degree Celsius in a day. The weather office said that the relative humidity at 8.30 am was 81 per cent.
Maximum temperature to reach 37 degrees Celsius by Holi
As per the Meteorological Department, if the process of increasing temperature will continue further then by Holi, the maximum temperature may reach 36 to 37 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature will remain around 20 degree Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, if the trend of increasing temperature continues in the same way in the month of March, then in April and May, people may be in bad condition due to the scorching heat.
On Wednesday, the city’s air quality was recorded in the poor category. The air quality index (AQI) stood 227 at 8 am on Wednesday, as per the Central Pollution Control Board data. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered good’, 51 and 100 satisfactory’, 101 and 200 moderate’, 201 and 300 poor’, 301 and 400 very poor’, and 401 and 500 severe’.
