Delhi-Goa Rajdhani Express derails in Karbude Tunnel
Delhi-Goa Rajdhani Express got derailed in Maharashtra tunnel.

On Saturday morning, Delhi to Goa Rajdhani Express train got off the tracks in Karbude tunnel of Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. "The Madgaon station-bound Rajdhani Express from Delhi's Hazrat Nizamuddin station derailed in Karbude tunnel near Ratnagiri today," told by an official to news agency Press Trust of India. As reported by an official, there are no reports of injury to the passengers.
The train – 02414 – was running from Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station to reach its destination Madgaon in Goa when it derailed inside Karbude tunnel, approximately 325 km far from Mumbai at around 4.15 am, said a spokesperson of the Konkan Railway, who operates the route.
“The front wheel of the locomotive of Rajdhani superfast train derailed in Karbude tunnel located between Ukshi and Bhoke stations in Ratnagiri region of the Konkan Railway, A boulder had fallen on the tracks which led to the derailment”, said by the official.
A rail maintenance vehicle (RMV) has reached the location and an accident relief medical van (ARMV) having re-railing equipment has also left for the site from Ratnagiri for the restoration work.
