A terrible incident took place in the national capital of Delhi. A ten-year-old boy was assaulted by his friends. Rods were inserted in the boy’s private part. The boy’s parents hesitated to tell the police about this. Four days later the boy was admitted to the hospital. But, the boy’s health had already deteriorated badly. The boy died today in the ICU of the hospital while undergoing treatment.
Doctors claimed on Friday that the boy’s injuries were so horrifying that they made them think of the victim of the gang rape on December 16, 2012. Doctors confirmed that he had been severely battered and that sharp item had been put in his intimate areas.
The Seelampur police station had on September 22 received a call from LNJP Hospital that a boy aged about 10 years was admitted on account of a physical assault that happened three days back. A police team reached the hospital and met with the parents of the child, but they refused to give a statement, cops said. The child was then under medical observation. The Delhi Commission for Women had also issued a notice to the police in this connection and demanded strict action against the accused.
The boy’s mom reported on Saturday that he had a high temperature all night and that this morning his vital signs suddenly began to decline. “When a couple of doctors entered the room while we were with him, they announced that his heart had stopped beating. They requested to wait outside and announced his death after a short period of time “The mother of the boy stated. The 11-year-old boy’s death has been confirmed by Sanjay Kumar Sain, deputy commissioner of police for the north-eastern division.

Based on her statement, a case was registered under sections 377 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection Of Children Sexual Offences Act.
During their investigation, police found that the alleged perpetrators of the attack aged between 10-12 years of age were friends of the boy and lived in the New Seelampur jhuggis. Two of them, including the cousin, have been caught and produced before the Juvenile Justice Board, while cops are still trying to find the third child.
