Delhi Budget: Deputy CM Manish Sisodia presents 75,800 Cr budget, Youth to get Employment Opportunities
Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia has presented the state's budget for the financial year 2022-23.

Designed under the guidance and leadership of CM Arvind Kejriwal, not only has historical work been done especially in the field of education and health, but has also inspired many other state governments.
While presenting the national capital's budget for the financial year 2022-23, Manish Sisodia said, “In the last seven years, I have presented zero tax budget, education budget, health budget, green budget, patriot budget in this house on priority basis of the government, and this year it will be employment budget."
The budget for the financial year 2022-23 has been kept at Rs 75,800 crore. He said, "Free Wi-Fi has been made available for the youth. Services. Doorstep delivery of keys has been made available, and people will no longer have to stand in queues at government offices. Working people can now do so by filling a form."
Highlights of the Delhi Budget 2022-23
1. Employment: He said, "1.78 lakh youth have been given government jobs in the last seven years. Terming it as the employment budget, he said that 20 lakh new jobs would be created in the next five years. Our target is to increase this to 45 per cent in Delhi in the next five years. A major part of the "Employment Budget" is employment for women. Every rupee spent by the government from the budget, we will conduct an employment audit to understand how many jobs have been created. 20,000 new jobs will be created in the next five years through the EV policy."
2. Every year, Delhi Wholesale Shopping Festival will be organized in several markets. The festival will be based on three focus areas - shopping, festivals and eateries. A budget of ₹250 crore is allocated for Delhi Shopping Festival and Delhi Wholesale Shopping Festival.
3. In Delhi, International Film Festival will be organized annually.
4. For the implementation of the new startup policy, an amount of ₹ 50 crore is allocated. Under the policy, the Delhi government will set up an incubation center, organize conferences for marketing advice and investments.
5. For the health sector, ₹9,769 crore is allocated. Out of that ₹1900 crore is being allocated for the remodeling of 15 existing hospitals and building four new ones. ₹ 50 crore allocated for Delhi Arogya Kosh scheme.
6. Rs 750 crore has been allocated for the revival of more than 600 lakes and water bodies of Delhi.
7. ₹16,278 crore was allocated for the education sector in the budget. Happiness, entrepreneurship and patriotism courses will be started in private schools as well.
