Coronavirus updates: Kerala imposes complete lockdown
Due to rising cases Kerala has imposed complete lockdown.

On Tuesday Kerala government has announced that the state will go under complete lockdown on 17th and 18th July. The state has witnessed a spike in daily Covid infections as 14,539 fresh cases were reported on Tuesday while the test positivity rate is 10.46 percent.
Kerala registered 124 fatalities yesterday, taking the total infection count to 30,87,673 and the toll to 14,810. Malappuram reported the highest number of cases–2,115, followed by Ernakulam with 1,624 and Kollam, 1,404. There are 196 local self-government bodies, where the Test Positivity Rate is over 15 per cent.
The relaxations and restrictions based on the categories of local bodies on the basis of Test Positivity Rate (TPR) will continue.
'A' Category - TPR rate up to 5 %, all types of shops and business establishments will remain open on all days except during weekend lockdown.
'B' category - TPR rate up to 10 %, the shops which sell essential items will remain open on all days, while other non-essential item shops would function on Monday, Wednesday and Friday till 8 pm.
'C' category - TPR rate up to 15 %, the shops which sell essential provisions will remain open on all days while other shops are allowed to open only on Friday.
'D' category - TPR rate above 15 %, only shops which sell essential provisions are allowed to open.
