Coronavirus updates: Active caseload at 4,50,899 and the recovery rate at 97.22 per cent
Country's active caseload stands at 4,50,899 and the recovery rate has increased to 97.22 per cent, says Health Ministry.

Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said on Monday, “We have made adequate provisions for paediatric care in all hospitals to provide the most effective healthcare for children. We are also developing a system of buffer stock at state and centre level that can be used in case of any health crisis,” he said. “We have now ensured adequate funds in every district for buying critical care medical requirements in an emergency,” Mandaviya added.
On Sunday the country has reported 37,154 new Covid-19 cases and 724 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the data of the Union Health Ministry. Kerala has reported 12,220 new cases, Maharashtra has recorded 8,535 infections. Active cases in Maharashtra have increased by more than 2,000. Maharashtra now has more active cases than Kerala. The country’s active caseload stands at 4,50,899.
The total number of coronavirus cases in the country has reached to 3,08,74,376 whereas, the overall death toll stands at 4,08,764. The recovery rate has increased to 97.22 per cent with 3,00,14,713 recoveries, the ministry said. 37,73,52,501 people have been given one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, the ministry said.
