As the June has started corona cases are still declining. It can be seen that second wave has lower down its impacts. In the past 24 hours, India reported 1,34,154 new COVID-19 cases, 2,11,499 discharges, and 2,887 deaths, as per Health Ministry. The overall death toll due to the virus has reached 3,37,989 while 2,84,41,986 infections have been reported so far.

As reported by sources, the government may give a complete waiver to foreign-made vaccines that have been approved for restricted use by the US Food and Drug Administration, European Medicines Agency, Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency, UK., Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency, Japan, or which are mentioned in WHO Emergency Use Listing.

Apart from this the central government has announced the cancellation of 12th boards exams for students in view of the pandemic situation in the country. Prime Minister Modi, during the meeting, said that the decision on Class 12 CBSE Exams has been taken in the interest of students. "Health and safety of our students is of utmost importance and there would be no compromise on this aspect," PM Modi said. However, if in case any student desires to take the exams, such an option would be provided to them by CBSE, as and when the situation comes under control.
