CNG Price rises in Delhi-NCR amidst Fuel Rates hike, Check the Latest Rates

For the last 16 days, the prices of petrol and diesel are continuously rising day by day. With fuel prices facing a continuous increase, the survival of the common man is becoming more difficult. On Wednesday, the fuel rates are hiked by 80 paise per liter. Meanwhile, the rates of CNG also increased by Rs. 2.50 per kg on Wednesday, April 6.
Statement by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri
On Tuesday, while defending the Central government over the fuel price hike issue, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri said, "Fuel prices hiked in India are 1/10th of the change of prices in other countries. Comparing gasoline (petrol) prices between April 2021 and March 2022, the prices in the United States of America (USA) have increased by 51 percent, Canada by 52 percent, Germany by 55 percent, the United Kingdom (UK) by 55 percent, France by 50 percent, Spain by 58 percent but in India only 5 percent", quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
The impact of inflation on CNG
After the current hike in CNG prices by Rs. 2.50 per kg in the national capital and adjoining areas, the current rates have reached Rs. 66.61 per kg. While the fuel rates are increased by Rs. 10 per liter in the last 16 days, in the last 6 days, the prices of one kg of CNG are increased by Rs. 6.60. CNG prices were last increased by Rs. 2.50 per kg on April 4.
