Brutal murder in Delhi: Boyfriend chopped girlfriend into 35 pieces and disposed them into Mehrauli forest

The capital is terrified by the revelation of a heinous and brutal murder. A woman named Shraddha was murdered by her live in boyfriend Aftab Ameen Poonawalla who reportedly chopped her body into 35 pieces and dumped them in the forest of Mehrauli, Delhi.

As per reports the couple had recently moved to Delhi from Mumbai. Poonawalla chopped his girlfriend into 35 pieces. Then he brought a refrigerator where he stored the pieces of Shraddha’s body. He began dumping the pieces in different places of Mehrauli forest. The murderer went to the forest at 2 pm every day and he did this for 18 days.

The deceased met her lover while working at a call centre for a large corporation in Mumbai. Soon they fell in love and began dating. The couple decided to have a live in relationship. Eventually they shifted from Mumbai to Delhi where they took a flat near Mehrauli.

It was strange for Shraddha’s relatives as she stopped taking calls from them. Her father, Vikas Madan, reached Delhi on November 8th to find out what is wrong with his daughter. However he found the flat locked. He then later reported this to Mehrauli Police out of suspicion filed an FIR on the basis of alleged kidnapping.

The killer admits that the couple began quarrelling frequently because Shraddha wanted to marry Poonawalla. Although Mehrauli police has already arrested the accused, however they are still searching for the victim’s body. Apart from this a murder investigation is also opened.

DCW chief Swati Maliwal tweeted on Monday: "In a heart-wrenching case, a girl was killed by her boyfriend in Delhi and kept in the fridge in 35 pieces! The pieces of his dead body were thrown in different areas of the city. How is the poor living in society? The police have arrested the accused; the guilty should be punished severely".
