Bandra Terminus-Jodhpur Suryanagri express (12480) got derailed between Rajkiawas-Bomadra section of Jodhpur division around 3.30 A.M on Monday.

Bandra Terminus-Jodhpur Suryanagri express (12480) got derailed between Rajkiawas-Bomadra section of Jodhpur division around 3.30 A.M on Monday. It has been reported that 13 coaches have faced the impact but no casualties have been reported, though 26 passengers have got injured and two of them who were seriously injured have been admitted to the Bangad Hospital in Pali.
A spokesperson of the North-Western Railway said that due to this accident several trains have been diverted or cancelled. Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw is looking into the matter and will soon be visiting the spot along with that it has been announce that a compensation of 1 lakh Rupees has been announced for passengers with grievous injuries and Rs 25,000 for people with minor injuries.
A passenger has described the incident; he said that the train within 5 minutes of departing from Marwar junction a vibrating sound was heard from inside the train and after 2-3 mins the train stopped when passengers got down to check the situation they saw that around 8 sleeper coaches have got derailed, with 15-20 mins ambulances had arrived.
The stranded people were safely taken to their destinations through buses and trains.
The incident is indeed horrifying and sad but it is good to see that the situation is under control now.
