Air Quality Index in Delhi reaches Hazardous after Diwali
The air quality in the national capital Delhi has reached hazardous levels after Diwali.

Amid a sharp rise in smoke from stubble burning, Diwali fireworks have led to an increase in pollution, defying the restrictions imposed by the government and the sky is covered with smoke in Delhi and its adjoining areas on Friday. The city's air quality index has reached the "hazardous" category.
On Diwali evening, Delhi's air quality expectedly crossed the "hazardous" mark. On Friday, with PM2.5 pollution levels have shoot to 774.69 at 3am. At around 1am, the average AQI for the city touched an alarming 1645.
As per the Central Pollution Control Board's data, "the national capital's 24-hour average air quality index (AQI) stood at 661 at 6am on Friday, up from 382 on Thursday. It was 314 on Wednesday, 303 on Tuesday and 281 on Monday", reported Times of India.
