After Tauktae a dangerous storm “YAS” is on the way, will hit the Bay of Bengal
After cyclone Tauktae in Gujarat a storm named 'Yas' is on the way to hit the Bay of Bengal.

A cyclone named “Yas” is on its way to hit the country and create havoc.
Gujarat has been devastated by the cyclone Tauktae recently. Now a storm is on its way to hit the Bay of Bengal. Tauktae has caused havoc in many parts of Gujarat, Maharashtra. Due to which 13 people died due to storm in Gujarat, there are reports of more than 6 people killed in Maharashtra. Amidst all this, there is news that after five days another storm is going to come.
According to the Meteorological Department, during May 23-24, the storm ' Cyclone Yaas ' will hit the Bay of Bengal. The storm has been named as Oman.
According to Sunita Devi, in-charge of the cyclone department in India Meteorological Department, “There is a possibility of a low pressure area in the Bay of East-Central Bengal next week. The meteorological department is monitoring the situation”. She has also indicated the speed up of the low pressure system. Devi said that “the sea surface temperature is 31 degrees above the SST Bay of Bengal. It is about 1-2 degrees C above average. All ocean and atmospheric conditions are favorable to cyclonic storms.”
The Meteorological Department said that Tauktae passed off the coast of Gujarat as a 'very severe cyclonic storm' around midnight and gradually weakened into a 'severe cyclonic storm' and later weakened to a 'cyclonic storm'.
State Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani said that over 16,000 houses damaged, more than 40 thousand trees and more than 70 thousand electric poles were uprooted while electricity was lost in 5951 villages. Giving information to the media, Rupani said that the official death toll due to the cyclone is 13.
