A scene of destruction in has unfolded Uttarakhand, due to the breaking of the glacier. Let us tell you that the glacier had broken near Reni village. It has been reported that there has been massive loss to life and property . Along with this, the glacier is flowing along the banks of the Dholi River.

Rishi Ganga, power project

The power project has suffered heavy damage due to a broken lane above Raini village in Chamoli district. Along with the destruction of Dhauliganga glacier, the barrage at Tapovan has also been heavily damaged. The same administration team has left for the spot. The situation is not completely clear yet how much damage has been done in this devastation.

Key highlights at the Point of destruction

• Due to the glacier in Chamoli in Uttarakhand, the administration has been asked to remain alert in the districts along the Ganges. High alert has been issued in Bijnor, Kannauj, Fatehgarh, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Ghazipur, Varanasi of UP.

• 16 people have been rescued that were stuck in the tunnel. Other than this 25 more people have been rescued by the ITBP.

• Due to the massive destruction, contact with more than a dozen villages has been lost. In such a situation, ration will be given during relief rescue work, which will be transported to villages by helicopter.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a compensation of 2 lakh rupees to the families of the dead, four lakh rupees from the Chief Minister. Apart from this, the main focus of the government is still on relief rescue work.

• The government of Uttarakhand has also directed to investigate how the glacier was broken. Because the weather was clear, there was no natural warning of any kind, in this case scientists will study it.
