'We are overjoyed', says Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, welcomes baby through surrogacy

On Friday, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her husband Nick Jonas announced on their Instagram handle that they have welcomed their first child through surrogacy. The note shared by Priyanka reads, "We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much."

The couple did not reveal the name or gender of their child and asked for privacy "during this special time we are focusing on our family right now."
