Disney+Hotstar has released the trailer of Kunal Kapoor, Shabana Azmi starrer The Empire.
On Saturday, Disney+Hotstar has released the trailer of its upcoming epic series, The Empire. The series is based on the book 'Empire of the Moghul: Raiders from the North' written by Alex Rutherford. The Empire depicts the story of a young king who faced an impossible challenge as rampaging armies and brutal enemies threaten his destiny, throne and even survival. The series consists of eight episodes tracing the saga of emperor 'Babur'.
Produced by Nikkhil Advani of Emmay Entertainment the series stars Kunal Kapooor, Shabana Azmi, Drashti Dhami, Dino Morea, Aditya Seal, Sahher Bambba, Rahul Dev among many others. Kunal Kapoor has played the role as King of the series.
The series is directed by Mitakshara Kumar, who previously worked on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epics Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat as associate director. The credits for 'story adaptation' goes to Bhavani Iyer.

The narrative we are exploring is something none of the makers have ever attempted in the history of Indian entertainment and given this story a fictional and creative bent.
