Teaser Out: Tapsee Pannu starrer Shabaash Mithu is all about Mithali Raj

On Monday, Viacom18 Studios released the teaser of Tapsee Pannu starrer Shabaash Mithu. The film is a life story of Mithali Raj, the Indian Captain of Women's Indian Cricket team, who continues to smash a number of world records while successfully leading the women's team in Blue at the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup 2022.

The 56-second teaser starts from the cricket field, in which the applause of the audience is working to bring long smiles on everyone's face. Everyone is cheering for the Indian women's cricket team. After this, there is a glimpse of Taapsee Pannu as Mithali Raj. She is ready to go to the field. Wears pads for batting and then lifts up her cricket bat and then takes entry in the field. During this, Taapsee Pannu's back is visible. 'Mithali 3' is written on her T-shirt.

While sharing the teaser on her Instagram handle, Tapsee wrote, “In this Gentlemen’s sport, she did not bother to rewrite history ….. instead she created HERSTORY."

This year, on Women’s Day, while sharing the poster from the film on her Instagram handle, Tapsee wrote, “She continues to inspire millions like me. To break a few stereotypes to lay down a new path ahead for many to follow. This Women’s Day I am cheering for the front runners in the fight to #BreakTheBias." 

The film 'Shabash Mithu' is directed by Srijit Mukherjee. Apart from Taapsee Pannu, actors Vijay Raaz, Ajit Andhare and actress Priya Avon will also be seen playing lead roles in this film. The story of the film will be revolving around the life of Indian women's cricket captain Mithali Raj as well as the women's cricket team. The movie will be showcasing the struggles faced by Mithali Raj but she never gave up.
