Sunny Deol starrer 'Gadar 2' set to release in 2022
Sunny Deol is coming back to Bollywood with his upcoming movie 'Gadar 2' which is set to be released in 2022.
On Friday, Bollywood star Sunny Deol has announced the sequel of his 2001 blockbuster film 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha'. The 64-year-old actor shared the news on social media saying that the sequel will hit the theaters in 2022. Deol wrote, "After two decades the wait is finally over! On the auspicious day of Dussehra, presenting to you the motion poster of #Gadar2. The Katha Continues.."
As per the news reports, for the upcoming project, Deol will be working with filmmaker Anil Sharma and actress Ameesha Patel. The original film received an overwhelming response when it released on June 15, 2001. The partition-set drama, written by Shaktimaan and directed by Sharma, follows the story of Tara Singh (Deol), a Sikh, who falls in love with Sakina (Patel), a Pakistani Muslim girl. Actor Utkarsh Sharma, who plays Deol's son and Patel, is also returning for the sequel. Produced by Zee Studios and Anil Sharma Production, 'Gadar 2' will go on floors soon.
