After much anticipation, the Spider Man with his multi-dimensional verse hit the theatres in India on June 1. The picture has a wide distribution on about 1800 screens, which is more than double what the first installment, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, had in India when it was released.

With roughly 40,000 tickets already sold in India’s three major chains, the picture is expected to take a strong start. The new film is expected to perform well on its first day at the box office. Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse might earn Rs 4.00 Cr India net on its first day for all languages.

Over 20,000 tickets were sold in PVR, 10,000 tickets in Inox and 5,000 tickets in Cinepolis. Now it is comfortably around or over 40,000. These numbers indicate an opening of around Rs 4.5 crores. It would make it the second highest opener for an animated film in India, only behind Incredibles 2.

Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation, in collaboration with Marvel Entertainment, produced the film. It is the sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018). The film is set in the Spider-Verse, a shared multiverse of parallel dimensions.
